ADVANCED JUNIOR AND SENIOR SECTION
The Robert Hill Trophy for the best trombone player was won by Derick Kirkwood.
The John Brown Trophy for the best flugel/horn player was won by Lynsay Brown.
The Juby Mcculloch Trophy for the best cornet player was won

The John McCulloch Trophy for the best euphonium/baritone player was won by David McKellar.
The Tyson Trophy for the best bass player was won by Paul Jamieson.
The Mary Reid Quaich which was kindly donated by Donald Reid and his family is awarded to the person who works away quietly in the background, who doesn't play in the band and is considered by the committee to have given exceptional service during the past year. This was won by Margaret Dunbar.
The Dale Salver is presented to the person who is considered by the players to have given exceptional service to the band during the previous year was won by Shona Hutchison.

3rd prize winning the John Paulin Trophy – Lynsay Brown
2nd prize winning the Billy Campbell Trophy – Derick Kirkwood
1st prize winning the Cecil Oughton Trophy – Rebecca Wilson
The audience adjudication prize was won by Fiona Black, Ayr.
The John McLelland Memorial Trophy for the player with most votes from the audience was won by Derick Kirkwood.
Well what a great weekend for Dalmellington Band, not only did our Youth Ensemble come in 1st place at the Besson Scottish Solo & Ensemble Championships our very own Shona Hutchison came in 3rd place in the Open Slow Melody & David Mckellar coming 4th in the Open Solo Contest & winning John Stark award for best euphonium! Great results all round for Dalmellington Band.
